Q: Does anybody know if Sanomigran migraine tablets that contain Pizotifen affects Cerazette mini pill?

A: This will help you.
The difference of the migraine with the headache, is that it is more complex.
They do not want that they speak to them, look for the darkness, walk with the eyes I happen enclosures, nauseas, they cannot stand to see television and any physical alteration they increases the trouble, (it gives them more frequently the women).
I suffered from migraine since I have use of reason.
I went to several doctors and they did not solve the problem, with the years I learned of my own experience.
My problem is with the food and accelerates the by situations of stress, (the being inclined to the migraine, already produces stress, for it inopportune).
That it is necessary to avoid:
Yellow cheeses, stuffed (it he seems for the preserving ones, seemingly the Nitrites), grains, eggs, yogurt, chocolate, coconut, fast food (Hamburgers, hot dogs, pizzas, Arturo’s chickens.etc).
How I discovered it?
When I suspects in a food with coconut, stop eating it for one week, I turned to eating and THE MIGRAINE come again. This way I tried Migraine with others food

The worst thing, the migraine does not remove the hunger and it could continue abusing..
It is necessary to to spread the consumption of this food.
With a soft diet I could eliminate the migraine and already I do not suffer for it, for which when they give me, eventually, they are medical in case of emergency:
Tablets for the headache that they combine acetaminofen, acid acetilsalicílico and caffeine (Atamel Forte).
Eno Fruit Salt.
Pepsicola or Coca Cola (you relieve the erutar)
To be sick (I do not recommend it)
To be purged.
Do not stop taking a one coffee in the morning.
I do not drink, because of it I cannot refer to the alcoholic drinks,
Escuse my poor English
I am from Venezuela
Luck

A: Hydroxy Tryptophan

Numerous clinical studies suggest that taking 5-HTP (Hydroxy Tryptophan) supplements increase Serotonin which has been found to have important antidepressant benefits. Higher levels of Serotonin are associated with decreased depression, improved sleep, alleviation of anxiety, relief from and prevention of migraine headaches and weight loss resulting from reduced carbohydrate cravings. Reduced levels of Serotonin are associated with feelings of stress, anxiety and helplessness. 5-HTP assists in increasing your brain’s Serotonin level gently and naturally by providing the precursor material for the syntheses of Serotonin. Other symptoms of Serotonin deficiency can include: carbohydrate cravings, migraines, obsessive compulsive behaviors, and other behavioral disorders. Restoring Serotonin is the basis for one of the most popular classes of drugs prescribed today. These drugs, including Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil and others are widely used to treat depression, anxiety, and insomnia. They are effective because they increase the availability of Serotonin. Increasing the availability of the Serotonin also helps the Amino Acid 5-Hydroxy Tryptophan work. This means that the body uses some of the 5-HTP in your diet to make Serotonin. Increase 5-HTP and you may increase Serotonin. Is 5-HTP the same as Tryptophan? No. The body takes Tryptophan and converts it to 5-HTP, which it then converts to Serotonin. Hydroxy Tryptophan may cause drowsiness and should not be taken while driving or operating machinery.

Q: my daughters headaches
hi my 8 year old daughter has been getting bad headaches for the last week and a half, we have been to see the GP who prescribed her sanomigran but still these headaches continue, my other daughter who is now 15 has had migraines since about the age of 2-3 but my 8 year old daughter doesnt get sick with hers but her vision is funny.
is it any cause of concern?

A: when my son was that age. he would get headaches. when he ate or drank anything that had red. he couldn’t even a eat a hotdog because of the red skin. you’ll be surprise they’ll use red on everyting. i even had to buy clear liquid (mortrin, medicine) i had to read the ingredient on everythind if it had red dye. or maybe she eating or drinking that causing her headaches.

Q: 51 years of age been getting headaches including migraine since 8 years of age.?
Been on sanomigran, propranol, now taking pizotifen 2xs 1.5mg but they are not touching my headaches which are coming on everyday now, they did help a bit when I was first put on them, but feel now they are not working,I,d hate to think what my hedaches would be like if I was not on them, I have never been asked by Dr to go and get them checked out, Although I have been having the headaches since I was 8 the last 5 month they have been really bad.Any suggestions ould be gratefully received

A: I am sorry you have suffered so much. I know about migraine and suffered a long time from it. Nothing helped. I even had acupuncture and bone softening treatment a thing made for my mouth to stop me grinding my jaw they said.

It went after the menopause. But yours is yours and everybody is so different. I would visit the doctor and tell him exactly where the pains are. He may have stronger tablets to give you or know something to help anyway.

Get well soon. x x x

Q: What’s causing my night sweats?
I have over the past few months started getting night sweats to the point I have to get a towel and wipe myself and the bed dry the room is cool so it’s not that…

Only medication I take is Sanomigran for Migraines
I have had 2 bouts of Optic Neuritis in the left eye but MRI and LP didn’t show anything significant

Is this something neurological? I feel they may all be linked?
I’m only 23!
Don’t wear any pj’s
I am on the depo provera so no periods and no idea when that time of month is! Been on it for about 4-5 years
Only travelled to Florida in the last few years

A: drink lots of water. actually you should have a bottle of water by your side

Q: anxiety when trying to sleep?
For the past few nights I’ve been having alot of trouble getting to sleep. I start by being restless, tossing turning etc then I become really anxious and can’t relax or lie still. There’s nothing really praying on my mind to keep me up and I’m usually really tired but when I try to sleep I’m suddenly wide awake.

The longer it goes on the more anxious I become, it’s really getting me down as I have to get up early for work.

I’ve also been suffering night sweats but they don’t happen on the same nights as my anxiety nights… It’s been an awful couple of weeks and I’m really drained from it :(

Medication: Depo Provera (contraceptive inj) & Sanomigran (migraines)
I’m 23
Not diabetic
I’m a smoker
I have horses so I’m pretty active every day

A: You might want to look into an anti-anxiety med like lexapro, it can help wonders. But before you do that I would make sure that you aren’t eating or drinking anything with caffeine or sugar at least 5 hours before bed time.

It also helps if you don’t watch TV right before you go to bed. I listen to this playlist http://www.imeem.com/mikeltrey/playlist/7X5jbHPr/chill_out_relax_goodnight_sleep_tight_music_playlist/ while i sleep and it knocks me right out. I hope this helps!

Q: my doctor has put me on methocarbamol 750mg ?
for my migran. i have tryed loads of things paracetamol is a no go thats not even worth taking waste of time i have been on sanomigran that didnt work i have tryed migaleve and it numbs the pain for a bit but it always comes back.

now my doctor has given me methocarbamol 750mg to take 3 times a day im just wondering have you tryed this and did it work for you if so how long did it take to start working.

it makes me drowey for a few hours which i kindda asked not to be as i have three young kids HOWEVA i would rather look after them a bit drowey than be in contant pain at least this way its a bit easier for them to see mummy wth a smile. however i know this isnt a long term opsion. do you have any hints or tips to help?

A: If you live in a state where medical marijuana is legal and available such as southern California, and you and your Doctor aren’t opposed to the idea of trying this controversial method it may be worth a shot. I have a friend in L.A. that has a similar problem with migraines and this was the only effective treatment for him.

The effects for him started out as intoxicating, however within a few weeks he developed a tolerance which made using it as needed an effective method of combating this issue with no negative effects/overwhelming side effects.

Hope you feel better.

Q: why do i get headaches everyday?
im getting a headace everyday some i dull and i just get on with it but then i get the migrans to and they are harder to deal with i feel sick then when the pain gets to much i am sick and the pain is unreal i have got three kids at home so going to bed just isnt an opsion.

i have seen my doctor who gave me sanomigran which doesnt help and he said there is nothing u can do about the pain so he said he wont give me pain killers.

but my chemist said that you can take pain killers and he doesnt know why my doctor wont give them to me.
i got glasses that i have to wear for reading but other than that my eyes are fine.

plz i really do need some advice on this one guys it feels like my head is in a vice.

A: Are you on birth control?? Birth controls can cause migraines, and severe ones can lead to stroke! Try talking to your gyno. You may have to change your brand, or get off of B/C

Another reason could possibly be that you’re dehydrated. Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. Do that for a while and see if it helps.

Q: Night sweats and insomnia…?
I’ve been suffering horrible night sweats on and off for a couple of months now, I wake up drenched (mainly on my upper body?) and have to get a towel and change.

Lately I’ve not been able to get to sleep either, i’ve been really restless and tossed and turned then i get very anxious and am suddenly wide awake

I’m only 23 and panicking that it could be early menopause?
I’m not diabetic, i smoke (lights) i get depo provera contraceptive inj so i don’t get periods im also on sanomigran for migraines

I have asked previously about the 2 symptoms individually but have put them both together here as i feel they may be linked?

I don’t think it’s my bedding, i’m cool when i wake up
I have low blood pressure (usually around 80/67) so i’m normally quite cold!

A: I think that there is a problem with the combination of the pill and the migraine medication. You should be able to have your period. Even if you think that it is unpleasant, it is unnatural and unhealthy not to have a monthly period at your age even/and if this is the effect that the medication is intended to have. If this is not happening see your GP and ideally see a gynaecologist. It looks as though this medication is not intended for you.

Also a word of warning on the cigarettes. There is no such thing as a “lite” cigarette. It is just a marketing spiel. You will get the same damaging chemicals in a “lite” cigarette as in any other. It is just a different flavour – probably not as strong or bitter.

First look after the gynaecological problems and then think seriously about giving up the cigarettes. They could be combining to have a bad affect on your present health and be cancerous long term.

A: This may sound strange, but see a dentist.
I suffered from frequently recurring migraines for months sometimes I would have 2 a week. After seeing a chiropractor (which helped, but they still came back) I was at the dentist’s office and happened to mention them. He built me a dental device that kept my teeth apart from each other and it cured my migraines OVERNIGHT!!
I’ve only had 3 in the last 2 years.

A: I have migraines and I can sympathise with you, but i was wondering do you drink enough water as you can become slighty dehydrated which can be a factor in migraines, you can also get migraines if you haven’t eaten enough sometimes, also it might be an idea to cut down on caffeine, chocolate, cheese if you use them. I also have found that if you put a very cold flannel over your eyes when you have a migraine, there is some relief, and what can be useful is cream that has menthol in it, it may help relax you as you breathe it in. Good luck

A: As your GP for Zomig. Take 2 when the migraine starts, then one more about 1½-2 hours later. Magic.
