Q: What is the remedy for house dust mite allergy?
I am under house dust mite allergy since 1994. I have taken a lot of vaccine shots but I still need to see doctor after every 3-4 months. I have been asked not to eat meat and rice particularly.
A: A properly functioning elimination system will get rid of your allergic reaction to dust mites. The best way to begin having a proper elimination system is to do the Water Cure and drink several glasses of ditilled water each day with a pinch of unrefined sea salt. A properly hydrated and mineralized body will move toxins through your elimination system much more quickly.
Imagine a battery with a proper acid and water balance as opposed to a battery with no water and improper amounts of acid. Your car may start but it will start showing signs that it is in decline. Your allergies are a sign that your battery is not properly functioning. The water cure can make your internal battery(your gut and internal organs) just like new.
When symptoms are gone, still drink 6-8 glasses of distilled water but you can back off on the sea salt in the water. To maintain the proper PH balance, after overcoming your allergy, start a water maintainace program by adding 10-15 grains of brown rice to two or three glass containers of distilled water that you store and rotate in your refrigerator. Those big Apple Cider Vinegar
Containers or Sun Tea containers work well. The grains of rice will remineralize the body in a similar fashion to
the unrefined sea salt. As you finish one jug of water, throw out the brown rice that is left and put in 10-15
new grains of rice.
Also switch to sea salt as your table salt. It is inexpensive and will help provide perfect sea salt minerals instead of unhealthy table salt that is commonly used.
To give your gut a jump start until the Water Cure cures you, take a shot glass of carrot juice, add a dash of cayenne, a tablespoon of raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar and dash of cinnamon three times a day. Mix well
and you will be amazed by how well it makes you feel. Keep adding more cayenne as you build up a tollerance to it.
Yah Bless
Q: What are some brand names of good dust mite/allergy killing laundry detergent & carpet cleaner?
I just recently discovered that such things were made, to actually wash your bed sheets in & clean your carpet with, that help to kill dust-mites & other allergy causing agents. But that’s all I know. What are some brand names of these products & where can I find them? Thanks!
A: Allergen free does not mean that it kills allergens such as dust mites. It just means it is void of allegen producing substances. I use Fabreeze allergen reducer. You spay it on your fabrics, carpets, and soft surfaces like sofas etc. to reduce allergens. It smells good too. I hate the smell of regular Fabreeze but the allergen reducer smells good. When you wash your bedding that kills allergens that would be there but the mattress is where the dust mites will be hiding. The Fabreeze will work there, and on the pillows. Although I wash my pillows. Good luck and God bless!!

Q: Are the other layers in latex mattresses dust mite and allergy free?
Latex mattress makers say that LATEX is free of bacteria and dust mite allergy causing problems. But what about the other layers that are not made of latex in the mattress?
A: If the bed is made entirely of all natural latex then yes. If they are using filler layers like polyunsaturate foam, polyester fiber, cotton, etc they are not unless they have been chemically treated to prevent it. Great question by the way.
Q: woke up with puffy lips and lots of itchy bumps around my body is this dust mite allergy?
i fell asleep on the couch that a friend gave us and after 2 hours i woke up with a swollen lips, ears and lots of itchy bumps all over my neck my head and waist and i can feel something on my throat,my right hand is swollen as well as my fore head, is this a dust mite allergy? and what should i do?
A: Dust mites don’t bite. Take some allergy medicine like a benadryl and see if that causes the swelling to go down. This might be fleas or bed bugs. Bed bug bites tend to follow veins. I hope you figure out what bit you and I’d get rid of that couch immediately.
Q: Will an air purifier help against my dust mite allergy?
I have a high intensity dust mite allergy. Will an air purifier help?
A: Of course!
Q: Dust mite allergy medicine for a boxer?
My 3 year old boxer is allergic to dust mites and I live in the desert. We have tried injections to desensitize her from the allergy. Also tried; Atarax, Benadryl, Prednasone, Vatral (something like that), and Claritin. We had wood floors put in and wash everything often. Basically we have done everything I can think of to prevent her allergies. Does anyone have a wonder medicine that works for dust mites or any secrets to help my poor itchy doggie?
A: when my boxer developed a rash due to an allergic reaction we gave her piriton (half a tablet) this did the trick, we always have some in the cupboard
Q: Do allergen sprays really work in controlling dust mite allergy symptoms?
recent studies are saying they don’t do anything for those who are allergic to dust mites and their excrement. Is there anyone out there who is allergic to dust mites who notices an improvement from using sprays or other dust mite allergen treatments?
A: I have horrible allergies, which include common house dust and dust mites. I’ve tried a few prescription sprays as well as Zyrtec and other oral allergy med. None of them did a thing to help me. I have found quite a bit of relief from installing an air purifier in my home. I tried a couple of the less expensive types like you’d get at WalMart, Target, etc. They really didn’t do much and I found them to be noisy. I ended up paying $500.00 for an Oreck model which I had to get directly from an Oreck store. It’s really been wonderful for minimizing my allergy symptoms. In addition, someone recommended this stuff called Allergen Block, which is made by Chloraseptic. It’s an ointment and you smear a small amount around your nostrils and upper lip. You rub it in well and it’s invisible and you can’t even tell you put it on. I’ve been using that for three days now and have noticed some improvement in my allergies inside and outside.
Q: Does someone have any experience with dust mite allergy? How do you fight against bust mites?
What do you think about protective bed covers? Are they really helpful or money waste?
Thank you very much.
What do you think about protective bed covers? Are they really helpful or money waste?
Thank you very much.
A: You can’t completely eradicate dust mites. Other things to try are purchasing a latex mattress and/or latex pillows. These inhibit dust mites/fungus. Not cheap, but helpful. If you have carpeting, vacuum often. If you can get rid of carpeting, do so. Clean & dust frequently. Air filters to help with dust (aka skin cells) that the dust mites feed of off.
****To answer your extra question. I do think some covers help. My 14 year old daughter has chronic allergies. A latex pillow helped a lot. We have two natural latex mattresses, but she was the only one who did not get one since my other daughter is autistic and needed one more. We all have a protective cover and the brand we have is Protect-A-Bed. They cost anywhere from $30-$80 depending on your mattress size and where you buy them. It’s a really nice cover since it feels like terry cloth and not even liquid goes through it. It’s washable in the machine too. I feel the pillow and the cover has helped her. P.S. Don’t forget to wash your bedding frequently too.
Q: Best pillowcase for someone with a dust mite allergy?
I already have a hypo-allergenic pillow and an allergy zipper-case to cover the pillow, now I just need a pillowcase. I’ve read that silk is good. Or would an Egyptian cotton be better?
A: I use a Cottonfresh Pillow case
Q: I am looking for bedding for my daughter who has dust mite allergy.?
I am looking for bedding for my daughter who has dust mite allergy. She has eczema and we observed that if we don’t wash the covers after 2/3 days, she starts scratching the hand which is touch the sheet. I’d like to know the best place/brand to buy the sheets (she sleeps with us – we have King mattress)
A: Look on the website below. You will need a top sheet, mattress sheet & a boxspring cover along with pillow cases. In other words, a new sheet set + a cover for the box spring. Of all the places I have seen, this website has them for less.
Good luck, and when your daughter can sleep in her own bed, you may want to start getting a set for her bed.
Q: best prescription allergy med to combat dust mite allergy?
what is the best prescription allergy med to combat dust mite allergy..
A: My daughter is severely allergic to dust mites and the doctor prescribed Singulair for her, which worked miracles. It was my savior!! No more problems! She also uses Nasonex occasionally which also works great. Both of these prescriptions are very expensive if you don’t have insurance though.
Q: How can you tell if you have a dust mite allergy?
A: you break out in hives. but just go to an allergen and get tested its easier and saves you the trouble.
Q: is it possible that a big nose can be linked with a severe dust mite allergy?
and if you can, please include a reference! thanks!!
A: No connection! I have a big nose and severe dustmite allergy, my son has a tiny nose and a severe dustmite allergy-you are either predisposed to allergies or not-it has nothing to do with the size of your nose.
cheers caz
Q: dust mite Allergy and carpets?
My mom recently has been diagnosed with an allergy to dust mites. She takes some allergy medicine but it doesn’t do much. Her doctor recommended to remove the carpets. And the whole house is carpeted. Is there any solution to her allergies without removing the carpet?
A: sweep them every day. if possible clean them. if you can take them up but it’s hard to get rid of them. they say no stuffed animals, no dust, no carpet. wash your blanket and sheets in hot water, get an allergen pillow case. when they have asthma fairs, go because they give things like that free, i know because i got some. if not go to any store like walgreens or cvs. also put plastic on your mattresses. it’s hard. good luck. I have been on alot of prescription allergy medicine i think singulair works good for me.
Q: can febreze allergen reducer help with dust mite allergy?
can febreze allergen reducer help with dust mite allergy?
A: I checked out their ad & I know it says it works for this but, I would ask your Allergist or Dr. Be careful with Febreeze, I was using it in my laundry & I broke out in a horrible rash covering all the areas of my body where the washed clothing I was wearing rubbed. I have 3 other friends that this happened to also. If you spray fabric with this mite reducer, you could get this rash. Watch out!
